Makita BHP454 18 Volt LXT Hammer Drill Kit

The Makita BHP454 18V LXT Lithium-Ion Cordless 1/2-Inch Hammer Driver-Drill is a versatile tool that allows the user to bring one tool instead of two tools to the job site. You can use it as a driver drill or a hammer driver-drill.  The meat eater delivers 560 in. lbs. of torgue in a compact size. Like all the drills I like it has two speeds and is fast enough to drill through concrete.

The BHP454 only weighs 4.9 pounds and just under 10 inches high.  Just like most other Makita's it has a LED light just above the trigger. The ergo shaped handle reduces fatigue and allows you to be more productive on the job site.  The range of applications you experience with the BHP454, it's the perfect tool for the professional.

As with all lithium ion cordless drill batteries, Makita is the innovation leader of the 18V revolution with their LXT series. As you know the lithium ion batteries are 40% lighter and run a heck of a lot longer than their cousins NiCD.  The lithium ion batteries don't take nearly as long to fully charge and you should see a full charge in about 30 minutes using the smart charger that comes with your drill.

The other beauty is these batteries can be used over and over again for a total of around 2,000 cycles.  Some people have better luck and others have less luck, but I know if you take care of your equipment it will last.
